Star Hall, Finedon, Northamptonshire

This building was built in the late 1800s. It was built as a mens temperance institute. The temperance movement was against the drinking of alcohol. Members signed a pledge to say that they would not drink alcohol. The British Association for the Promotion of Temperance was formed in 1835. Then in 1884 The National Temperance Federation was formed.
