Taylor's Mill, Peel Street, Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Built in about 1845, this was the first large-scale power loom mill in Barnsley. The linen trade was highly prosperous in the town in the mid 1820s, although a major strike by weavers in 1825 suggests that there were also high levels of discontentment.
