Thames Conservancy at Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

A group portrait of the Thames Conservancy of Henley. In 1857 the Thames Conservancy Act was passed giving control of the Thames below Staines to the new body, and to this day they look after locks, weirs, moorings and patrol the river.
