The Almshouses, Thornton in Craven, North Yorkshire

These almshouses were built in 1815. They have the inscription "1815. These Almshouses for five poor women were erected and endowed pursuant to the desire of Joseph Smith late of the City of LONDON Banker, a native of this parish out of the residuary estate of Rachel Smith his widow".
