The Patwell Pump House, Bruton, Somerset

This pump house was probably built in the 18th century. It would have provided water to this part of the town. It is built on the site of a well, known as St. Patricks Well. The whole area is known as Potwell - which is said to be a corruption of St. Patrick's Well.
