The Wicker Railway Bridge, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

The railway bridge and adjoining viaduct were originally constructed in 1848 by John Fowler (Engineer) and Weightman & Hadfield (Architects). The bridge was built for the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway Co. This structure is an outstanding example of monumental early railway architecture.
