Tomb of Catherine Mompesson, Chrurchyard, Eyam, Derbyshire

Catherine Mompesson died during the outbreak of plague in 1666. She was the wife of the Vicar of Eyam. He persuaded the villagers to close themselves off in the village in order to stop the plague spreading.
