Wynard's Hospital, Magdalen Street, Exeter, Devon

These almshouses were founded in 1435. They were rebuilt in the 17th century and altered by Sir William Kennedy in the late 18th century. They were restored and again altered in 1863. There are twelve 2 storey almshouses round a cobbled courtyard. Those on the west side are at a higher level with a terraced pavement in front. The Chapel dates from 1436. All the buildings are built of Heavitree stone. In 1973 they were restored as council offices.
