All Saints' Church, Church Street, Wing, Buckinghamshire

All Saints' Church, Church Street, Wing, Buckinghamshire LU7 0NY

Important and Historic Grade 1 listed church. Considerable parts of the Saxon original remain, the crypt and apse are of special note. Small motifs in medieval stained glass remain in some aisle windows and in the Lady Chapel. Many of the pews have been dated to the late medieval period. The church also has later additions and improvements to the interior, including the angel roof with it's carved figures. The monuments to the Dormer family of the old Ascott Hall are also of interest, with three generations close to the Tudor courts of Henry VIII, Mary I and Elizabeth I. Later Victorian works are evident in the additions to the chancel screen, the organ, stained glass windows and the floors.
