Grade I listed Manor House and allied buildings situated in grade II* gardens and parkland totalling 300 acres. Now a university. The owner, Gregory Gregory, acted largely as his own architect in collaboration with Anthony Salvin 1832-1838 and with William Burn and David Bryce 1838-1854. Edward Blore was also consulted.
Opening Arrangements
Approximately six house and garden Open Days held throughout the year. Additional garden only Open Days are also held. Other dates are available for private group (20+) tours by prior arrangement, which can include the House and or Gardens and or (for 2024) the Walled Garden. Dates will be published via our websites and social media.
