The Old Courthouse is home to the Tetbury Police Museum & Courtroom and the Tetbury Town Council offices. The building was completed in 1884 and was the location of the police station and Petty Sessional court (then Magistrates court until 1995). Today the space is utilized as council offices including the reception and the police museum. The museum is mostly volunteer lead and tells the story of policing in Gloucestershire with and emphasis on the social history of the Tetbury area.
Opening Arrangements
The museum is open on Wednesday and Friday 11am to 3pm. We are also open some Bank Holiday Mondays and Saturdays in school holidays. Tours and visits outside these hours can be booked through the curator.
