Early English church on the North Downs influenced by post-1175 work at Canterbury Cathedral. Chancel of considerable beauty. Sanctuary with interesting brasses over 17th century tombs. North transept with 13th century grisaille glass in lancet window. Norman motte and bailey nearby. Yew tree over 1000 years old.
