Parish Church of St Mary, Church End, Hendon NW4 - Barnet
St Mary's dates to the mid C13, with a C15 north aisle, C16 north chapel and nave, and south aisle added alongside existing by Temple Moore in 1915. The font is C12. There are various defects in the roofs and gutters; structural movement; hard renders on the external walls; and issues with drainage. These are having a detrimental effect on the fabric, particularly evident on plasterwork internally, and where water is damaging wall paintings. A program of roof repairs commenced in 2023 which has seen the completion of the vestry and sacristy roofs.
