Parish Church of St Mary, Church End, Hendon NW4 - Barnet
St Mary's dates to the mid C13, with a C15 north aisle, C16 north chapel and nave, and south aisle added alongside existing by Temple Moore in 1915. The font is C12. North chapel glass by Kempe, altar screen by Bodley, and altar hangings by Comper. There are various defects in the roofs and gutters; structural movement particularly to the south and west; hard renders on the external walls; and issues with drainage at and below ground level. These issues are having a detrimental effect on the fabric, particularly evident on plasterwork internally, and where water is damaging wall paintings.
