Church of St Mary, Church Road, Market Weston - West Suffolk
Largely C14, restored 1846-7 by Cottingham and again in 1888-9. Nave, chancel, south porch and west tower constructed mainly in flint rubble with plain freestone dressings. Hammerbeam nave roof structure, possibly C17. Roof coverings of plain tiles, with parapets. C15 south porch and five-stage tower. Nave roof truss has failed; the tie bars do not appear to have arrested movement. Major roof repairs required. Historic England have recommended investigation works to inform the nature and scope of any repair project to the nave roof.
