Church of St Augustine of England, St Augustine's Road, Ramsgate - Thanet
Important complex standing on a cliff top, constructed by AWN Pugin and containing his tomb. The site consists of a churchyard to the south and a cloister to the north with chapels, sacristy and ancillary accommodation. The church comprises a nave, crossing with tower and confessional, chancel, south aisle and chapel. A National Lottery Heritage Fund grant for Places of Worship addressed urgent repairs to roofs, gutters and high level masonry in 2010 with further phases in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The first phases are now complete with further repairs still required to the north range.
