St Margaret's Church, St Margaret's Street, Leicester - Leicester, City of (UA)

Large, mainly C15, city centre church. By 2019 various sandstone walling had deteriorated and was shedding stone fragments. Scaffolding above the west door of the tower has now been removed. There were localised flashing defects, vegetation, rainwater disposal issues at high and low level and water penetration. An Historic England Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund award enabled repairs to the south porch and the tower has been repaired through a Heritage Stimulus Fund award. Ongoing funding is being sought for repairs to the chancel roof.
