Church of St Andrew, Church Road, Wingfield - Mid Suffolk
Largely mid-C14 to early C15. Patronal church of the De La Poles, Dukes of Suffolk. Cracks and voiding on either side of the tower west and north faces; cracking at west end of north aisle. the voiding in the tower is of particular concern. Shingled roofs to nave and chancel over internationally important funerary monuments. John Wingfield monument [d.1361] the cracking is a cause for concern. Katherine and Michael de la Pole monument: the death watch beetle outbreak gives rise to significant concern. Parish have received advice from a Conservator and to consider next steps
