Church of St Mary, Main Road, Westonzoyland - Somerset Council (UA)

Parish church of C13, C14, C15, C16 and C19 with significant additions by WD Caroe 1933-1939. Notable for housing 500 defeated rebels following the Battle of Sedgemoor in 1685. The C15 timber roof structure is of considerable significance with carved angel corbels. The congregation undertook a large scheme of roof repair in 2016 with a Listed Places of Worship Roof Repairs Grant but there are concerns about the condition of the tower.
