Church of St John the Baptist, Gravel Pit Lane, High Toynton - East Lindsey

Parish church of green sandstone rubble blocks and limestone ashlar dressings. Rebuilt in 1872 by Ewan Christian, re-using some mid C12 fragments. Nave with south-west porch tower, chancel with vestry. The tower has suffered with structural movement historically and there have been attempts to underpin the structure. The nave roof has a number of slipped slates and is in need of repair and renewal, as are the rainwater goods. The tower collapsed in early 2020. Steps have been taken to shore up the remaining fabric and exclude the weather.
