Church of St Mary, Nettlecombe, Somerset Council (UA) - Somerset Council (UA)
Church dates from C13-14 with later phases in C15, C16 and C19, and consists of nave, chancel, north and south aisles, chantry chapel and west tower. Its history and development are closed related to that of the families in possession of Nettlecombe Court, situated nearby. In February 2021 a primary beam to the tower's third floor dramatically failed at its west bearing. Emergency propping was erected in March 2021, but the tower interior remains roped off until a more permanent solution is put in place.
