Church of St Wilfrid, Main Street, North Muskham - Newark and Sherwood
Church, C12 origin of Blue Lias stone. A Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund grant in 2016 enabled the repair of rainwater goods and the tower's parapet gutter. The lower stages of tower are heavily weathered; a considerable masonry repairs are needed. The building was rendered historically. The church has been subject to heritage crime. Recipient of an Historic England Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund grant in 2020 for roof repairs. Historic England commenced a research project in 2022 looking at the performance of Blue Lias repairs to inform future repair guidance.
