Church of St Mary the Virgin, Stoke Sub Hamdon - Somerset Council (UA)
Parish church of mainly C12 and C13 with later additions. Water ingress problems leading to damp as evidenced by the algal growth on the north and south side of the nave (and in the porch). Vegetation needs clearing from between the coping stones and roof slates. Rainwater goods in need of repair. The congregation has been awarded a Listed Places of Worship Roof Repairs Grant and some work was carried out in 2016-17 but more repairs are needed.
