Parish Church of St Mary Magdalen, Church Street, Ickleton - South Cambridgeshire
The flint and pebble church has the grandest and earliest (c1100) aisled nave in Cambridgeshire with the original clerestory intact, a central crossing tower and transepts surviving in the south. C12 and C14 wall paintings were discovered above the north arcade and chancel arch. It is essential that the fabric is kept in good, weathertight condition to preserve them, but the masonry is deteriorating, especially to the clerestory windows.
