Parish Church of St Leonard, Church End, Old Warden - Central Bedfordshire (UA)

Parish church, originally part of the endowment of Warden Abbey. C12 origins, predominantly C13, with C14, C15 and C16 details, reworked C19. Mainly of brown cobblestones with limestone dressings, later work in red brick and coursed limestone. All the roofs except the Chancel roof covering, are in a poor state. A merlon on the south side of the Tower collapsed. Dampness putting the interior fittings at risk. Currently undergoing repairs to address urgent issues (including South Aisle re-roofing, repairs to the Tower parapet and localised repairs to the Tower and Chancel and associated works).
