Late medieval threshing barn, Mersham Manor, Church Road, Mersham - Ashford

A fine late medieval barn that has for some time been suffering from water ingress and structural movement. All its roof tiles have been removed without Listed Building Consent and although they have been replaced with protective sheeting, this does not cover the whole roof so there is now more water ingress and accelerating deterioration of historic fabric. Historic England is working with the Local Planning Authority and owners to resolve the issues.
