Church of St Thomas, Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield - Chesterfield
Parish church of 1830-31 by Woodhead & Hurst, with chancel 1888 by Naylor and Sale. Restored 1903 by Adams. The church historically suffered from water ingress, with repairs to the tower grant aided by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and completed in 2017. The water ingress has caused subsequent damage to the highly ornate nave ceiling panels, causing a loss of decoration and plasterwork. Urgent repairs to the ceiling panels were undertaken in December 2021, alongside the safeguarding of detaching banners and boss. The Parochial Church Council are keen to undertake a repair programme.
