Methodist Church, Grove Street - Bassetlaw

Church and meeting rooms of 1880 by Bellamy and Hardy. Localised ceiling plaster failures in 2014 lead to the closure of the main part of the building. Investigations took place in 2015 and repairs followed in 2020 with grant support from Historic England's Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund. Loose plaster was secured and fallen elements reinstated. Below ground drainage in the vicinity of the stair tower was renewed in 2020. Funds were separately raised for internal redecorations in 2021. A suite of repairs were undertaken in 2023-4 but further repairs are still required.
