Barlborough Hall, Ward Lane, Barlborough - Bolsover
Part rendered hall with impressive stone porch of c1583-4 attributed to Robert Smythson and built for Sir Francis Rodes. A second porch was added in 1825 after the hall was sold and converted for school use. The exterior was rendered with a cement gauged mix in mid C20. The render is cracked, the later porch suffers cramp damage and the original porch has suffered significant erosion. Historic England grant aided project development work was completed in 2017. A repair scheme was subsequently discussed with the owners but there is no known progress with repairs.
