Hopwood Hall, Rochdale Road - Rochdale

College derived from a country house, dating from C17 and C18, incorporating parts of an early C16 open hall timber framed structure with some C19 and C20 additions. Now vacant. Emergency repairs have been undertaken by the Local Authority to make the building wind and weather tight. Historic England has match funded the local authority with a Heritage at Risk grant and a phase of urgent works is underway. Discussions are on-going with the Rochdale Borough Council about potential new uses for the Hall.
