Hopwood Hall, Rochdale Road - Rochdale

Former college derived from a country house, dating from C17 and C18, incorporating parts of an early C15 open hall timber frame with further C19 and C20 alterations. Currently vacant with emergency works completed in partnership with the local authority owner, an active local friends group and the Hopwood Foundation; supported with match funding from Historic England. Discussions are ongoing about potential new uses for the Hall to bring it into both commercial and community use. A second phase of roof works was on site during 2023 and a further phase of roofing is planned for 2024.
