Fort Perch Rock, Marine Promenade, New Brighton, Wallasey - Wirral

Coastal fort 1826-9 with later additions, built to defend the approach to Liverpool. Used as a museum until recently but now closed. Corner towers are missing render. Stone to gateway is weathering and coat of arms rusting. Balconies to seaward side are corroding. An overall strategy to address condition is required for the long term.
