Hawkstone Windmill, Hawkstone Park, Weston-under-Redcastle - Shropshire (UA)

Late C18 windmill located just outside the registered park and garden at Hawkstone Hall which was designed by William Emes in the mid-C18. The windmill sits above the Hawk Lake in the part of the park which is now a golf course and benefits from extensive views. The building is boarded up; internal machinery and floor structures have largely collapsed though principal floor beams survive. A temporary roof erected in 1996 has saved the building but its condition is deteriorating.
