Grimethorpe Hall, Brierley Road, Brierley - Barnsley

House, circa 1670, altered in C18, C19 and C20, which requires extensive repairs, the setting of which has been eroded by the construction of housing to the west. Consent was granted for conversion to a restaurant in 2005, but the scheme failed. Following the dissolution of the company that owned the property, it has become subject to escheat to the Crown. The building has been subject to heritage crime.
