Springfield Hospital (main building), Glenburnie Road SW17 - Wandsworth

Former psychiatric hospital built in 1840 in Tudor Gothic style as the Surrey County Asylum. The Hospital Trust appointed a partner in 2018 to progress a programme of works. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent applications were approved in 2020 for the first phase of re-use, and restoration of the main building and Airing Courts. Further applications were submitted and approved for the second phase in 2022 and 2023 and works of re-use, restoration and repair are currently (March 2024) in advanced progress, nearing completion.
