Springfield Hospital (main building), Glenburnie Road SW17 - Wandsworth

Former psychiatric hospital built in 1840 in Tudor Gothic style as the Surrey County Asylum. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for redevelopment and demolition of curtilage listed buildings were granted in 2012 and the listed buildings' strategy was approved in 2017. The Hospital Trust appointed a partner in 2018 to progress a programme of works. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent applications were approved in 2020 for the first phase of re-use, and restoration of the main building and Airing Courts. Further applications were submitted for the second phase in 2021.
