Abutment of Roman Bridge at Radnor Bridge, Acton Burnell / Pitchford - Shropshire (UA)

The disrupted masonry abutment on the south bank of the Row Brook at Radnor Bridge is all that remains of a former bridge constructed by the Romans. A Management Agreement to compile a repairs specification to quantify and assess repair costs was funded by Historic England in 2020. Tenders to consolidate the masonry structure were obtained in March 2021 but funding to enable the repair works to proceed has yet to be agreed.
