Battersea Park Station, Battersea Park Road SW8 - Wandsworth

Italianate style station built circa 1865 for the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. Alterations to the train service mean that the architecturally significant Platform 1 is redundant. Repair works are complete, but the building, specifically Platform 1, remains underused. A legal agreement with Network Rail for a scheme of works was secured in 2018. In 2019 the former station master’s accommodation was converted into offices. Discussions about the wider station site, including an additional entrance, a new use for Platform 1, disability access and improved facilities are underway.
