Woodchester Mansion, Woodchester - Stroud

Mansion c1854-68 incorporating a magnificent private chapel. The Woodchester Mansion Trust was formed in 1989 to do a continuous programme of conservation and display of the uncompleted Gothic-style masterpiece. In 1991 a protective scaffold was built to cover the leaking roof of the chapel. The scaffold is now decaying and unsafe. Repairs are immediately needed to the scaffold or, ideally, the roof underneath. Other adjacent roofs are now developing serious faults. Development work is being organised in order to apply for the large grant funding now needed.
