Treffry Viaduct, Luxulyan / Lanlivery - Cornwall (UA)

Combined viaduct and aqueduct. Granite built ten-arched bridge with a span approximately 200 metres, standing up to 27 metres above the valley floor. Water had been gushing from the leat within the structure, so water flow over the viaduct has been stopped. Leaks became evident at abutments and locations within the main spans of the structure. A solution to the leaking channel has now been agreed. The Cornwall Heritage Trust is working with Historic England to develop an investigation project to finalise the solution to the high level leakage problems of the leats within the viaduct.
