Church of St Augustine of England, St Augustine's Road, Ramsgate - Thanet
Constructed by AWN Pugin and containing his tomb. The site consists of a churchyard to the south and a cloister to the north with chapels, sacristy and ancillary accommodation. The church comprises a nave, crossing with tower and confessional, chancel, south aisle and chapel. A National Lottery Heritage Fund grant for Places of Worship addressed urgent repairs to roofs, gutters and high-level masonry in 2010 with further phases in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The north range was repaired with a Culture Recovery Fund grant in 2022. Further works are still required which are being identified.
