Parish Church of St Margaret, Higham Gobion, Shillington - Central Bedfordshire (UA)
Parish church. C14 and C15 details, but extensively reworked 1879-80 by Burton and Wood. Coursed ironstone and cobblestones, with ashlar dressings. Gabled clay tile roofs. Chancel, nave, narrow north aisle and west tower. The chancel has two-stage buttresses to angles and to north and south walls. Comprehensive cracking in nave and chancel internally; evidence of past structural repairs externally. Awaiting Engineer's report to inform future discussions. Revised plan of action to be agreed following receipt of new quinquennial inspection report.
