Although Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent were granted in 2017 for works in connection with conversion for use as a school, the scheme has not been implemented and the buildings have fallen into disrepair. The building was illegally occupied, causing damage to historic fabric. A lack of maintenance has caused the roof and rainwater goods to fail and water is now penetrating the building. The Local Authority is in discussion with the owners to secure urgent repairs.
