Worksop Priory gatehouse, Cheapside, Worksop - Bassetlaw
Gatehouse, early C14, with a slightly later south porch containing what is believed to be the only surviving English medieval 'walk through' shrine. The gatehouse requires some internal repairs and new services to improve re-use options. Repairs focusing on the shrine, funded by a Repair Grant for Places of Worship, was completed summer 2016. A Historic England Repair Grant for Heritage at Risk was accepted in 2023 to make the building weather tight and install security gates. This is now complete, much improved and The WPGT are working with partners to secure a future use
