Parish church. West tower C12, remainder of fabric largely early C14. Flint with limestone and brick dressings with some reset worked stone. Smut pantile 'roofs; conical plain-tiled tower roof. West tower, nave, chancel, south porch. Round west tower with later stepped parapet and conical cap. Two-light bell openings dressed in red brick with chamfered surrounds and mullions. On north,west and south sides are square stone panels with pierced openings, set in chamfered brick surrounds. Three- light west window with chamfered brick mullions and remains of moulded and cusped head; opening now reduced and much rebuilt. South porch has moulded brick entrance arch, early C16; flushwork crosses flanking entrance and in gable. Single lancet east and west window openings. Two light window with restored Perpendicular tracery adjoining porch. Other nave windows two and three light Decorated some C19 restorations. Chancel south windows of c.1300 with 'Y' tracery. Angle buttresses to nave and chancel east walls. 3 light east window with tracery much restored and renewed. North doorway blocked in brick. Nave roof C15 of arch-braced principals on wall posts with octagonal pilasters and capitals. Some common rafters retain painted decoration. Barrel roof to chancel, C20. Massive timber beam supporting studwork east gable of nave; no chancel arch. Opening to chancel flanked by figure-niches, a tall cusped opening on the north side, an irregular double niche to the south, retaining some original colouring. Open rood stairs at north-east corner of nave. On nave north wall, a large and very fine C14 mural depicting scenes from the life of St. Christopher. Double linked piscina in south wall of nave; stooling for figure on cill of window above. C18 pulpit with backboard and octagonal tester. Some old benches with poppyhead ends. Piscina and dropped cill sedilia in south wall of chancel. C15 octagonal font with figure carving around bowl and stem; stem arcaded with vaulted canopies over figure niches. C20 colouring.
