2/36 Washing Place, immediately to the South of Bridge Cottage

GV II Washing place. Uncertain date. Rubble stone. In segmental arched recess, with two other arches in the recess marking the inflow from 2 streams, the whole now well below road level. Located under the access stairs to the outhouse of Bridge Cottage (qv), and significant in the earlier history of the settlement.
