SU 64 SW BRADLEY 19/35 Upper Farmhouse
II
C17, C18, C19. House of mixed periods, with some interior framing, being a long structure with a taller south end. Old tile roof, with the south gable framed in brick dentils; the ridge drops towards the north and ends in a large hip, at the rear there is a 1/2-hipped narrow-section with catslides on each side. Red brick walling, in English bond in the older parts with 1st floor drip mould, some blocked windows, high plinth; Flemish bond elsewhere with a first floor band, some rubbed flat arches and signs of altered openings, plinth. Between the older (taller) and later (C18) sections there is a C19 gable to the front, with a gabled brick porch at its north side. Casements, some tall Victorian lights in the old part. Two plain doorways (one panelled and one boarded door), the door within the porch being of 6 panels (2 top galssed). Two separate massive chimney stacks.
