House and walls and gates of walled gardens. C18, the house c.1770 said
to be for head gardener. Red brick walls and house with roughcast W
front and S end. Steep pitched hipped slate roof. A 2-storeys, 3
windows, symmetrical Strawberry Hill Gothick house facing W with large
walled gardens to rear stepping up slope to N. 3m high buttressed garden
walls and wrought iron double gates on S side with concave pointed
overthrow. House has plat-band, arched and coved eaves cornice all
round. Central entrance, end chimneys plan. Projecting centre to W front
with ogee-headed upper window flanked by quatrefoil headed windows.
Painted heads and Y-tracery to end windows. Ground floor windows with 4
pointed heads and 6-panels door with pointed head under rectangular
label mould like ground floor windows. Rear (E) side to garden in red
brick has windows with pointed heads and 2-lights leaded casements.
4-light central 1st floor window with ogee head over pointed doorway.
