C17 and C18 altered. Three builds. Rubble with stone tile roofs.
The Carpet Shop and the left hand bay of Talaton Moor (which is painted)
are under one roof. Two and a half storeys with 3 raking top dormers, 2 chimneys
and saddlestone on gable end to Market Street. Four windows on first floor
(one blocked), casements, 5 on ground floor, the 2 right hand ones are bays
flanking a door. The gable end to Market Street has entrance to Carpet Shop
and a hlower 2 storey extension to left, modern shop premises. Talaton Moor
is in 3 parts, the first section to left is older (and described above), the
central section and right hand section are at an angle and break forward with
hipped roofs. Painted rubble. One+three windows, mostly casements with wooden
lintels, one glazing bar sash on return of centre section and small sash windows
to left of entrance of centre section. Right hand section has sprocket eaves,
the rafter ends carved as modillions. Picturesque grouping.
