Details
NEWQUAY NEWQUAY SW 8061-8161 16/138 Trenance Viaduct - II
Railway viaduct. 1874, in place of a timber viaduct. Stone rubble with stone dressings. The viaduct carries the branch line to Newquay station over the Trenance valley at the south eastern approach to the town. Rectangular battered piers with quoins; the inner sides of the piers have a brick relieving arch set below projecting stones, with imposts. Seven round arches. The parapet is corbelled, with plain railings; over alternate piers there is a corbelled rectangular pier in brick. Sources: Thomas, D.
