18/74 Rose Hill and former barn

II

Farmhouse and former barn. Mid C17 with C18 alterations and additions. Whitewashed rubble walls, under graduated greenslate roof with rebuilt brick and sandstone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays with right barn, under common roof, now an integral part of the house; and rear 2-storey, 2-bay extension forming overall L-shape. Ground-floor 2-light windows with stone mullions removed, one enlarged to form doorway, both under continuous hoodmould; and small right firewindow. Sash windows above in chamfered surrounds. Barn has sash windows with glazing bars, the ground-floor window large, and a small right firewindow, all in stone surrounds. Extension has central studded plank door in painted chamfered surround. Left 2-light and right 3-light flat stone-mullioned windows. Rear of house has outshut with corrugated iron roof.
