13/3 Stable block approximately 30 metres 18.1.67 west of Low Hall

GV II

Stables and tack room. Mid C18. Dressed sandstone on chiselled sandstone plinth; chiselled dressings; pantile roof with remains of brick stack. Single-storey, 3-bay front with lower, 2-bay outbuilding set back to left. Central 6-panel door beneath divided overlight within Gibbs surround. Unequal 20-pane sashes in triple-keyed raised surrounds with painted stone sills to each side. Outbuilding has 4-panel door beneath divided overlight with 2-light, 16-pane horizontal-sliding sash to left; door of 6 raised and fielded panels in re-entrant angle. Tripartite keyed lintels to all these openings. Coped gables and shaped kneelers. End left stack to outbuilding. Right gable wall: 6-pane pivoting window in triple-keyed raised surround. Interior: 3 loose boxes between Doric distyle in antis screen.
