Details

DEERHURST COURT DRIVE, Apperley SO 82 NE 3/41 Nos 14 and 15 GV II Two attached cottages. Probably late C16, C17, C19, minor alterations mid C20. Brick-nogged timber framing, brick plinth, tiled roof. Three rooms, one room deep, single room extension to form 'L' at rear, all 1½ storeys. To road: brick end for chimney right, framing 3 panels high, except left end, close studded at bottom, 2 square-panels high above. To right 2-light C20 metal window, glazed door up 2 stone steps, 2-light window with single each side. Above 2 triangular dormers, each with 2-light metal window with square leaded light above. Brick chimney below ridge on right gable, on ridge between dormers, roof hipped left corner. Left return, framing 3 panels high; 2-light metal window; framing steps up, boarded door under peaked hood, paired 2-light C20 metal windows, angle brace to wallplate from corner post left end. Lean- to against gable. Above 2 triangular dormers, right 2-light casement in small panes, with square light over, left 2-light metal window, square pane over. Roof changes pitch between dormers, ridge chimney at change, external chimney on left gable. Forms group with No 13 (q.v.).
